Camera Movement

Crane Down: The crane drops the viewer into scene and makes them feel as if they are a part of a character's world.

Crane Up: The crane moves upward making the character appear small to the viewer.

Crane High to Low Angle: The crane goes from a high point to a low point and makes the character in the shot appear strong.

Handheld Camera: The camera is shaky and a sense of danger is given off.

Quick Pan: The camera quickly moves to reveal something that changes the emotional direction of the scene.

Quick Push In: The camera quickly moves closer towards the character to create a sense of shock.

Slow Dolly In: The camera moves slowly towards a character to create an uncomfortable feeling or a sense of intimacy.

Slow Dolly Out: The camera slowly moves away from the character to make them appear lost and to make the viewer empathize with the character.

Dolly Across: The camera moves to reveal something that changes the emotion of the scene.

Glidecam Camera: The camera glides smoothly around the characters in a scene to create a dreamlike feeling.

Glidecam 360 Reveal: The camera moves in a circle around a character to give off a calm, relaxed feeling.

Zolly-Dolly Zoom: The background in a shot gets smaller but the size of the character does not change. This gives off an overwhelming feeling.
